The project
Mother Panel
The layer that turns Buhonea into neighbourhood infrastructure: one entity coordinates the network; affiliates keep autonomy; citizens discover everything in search.

The project
When we finished Buhonea's website, search and business panel, the same client saw the next step: not just a single venue, but an entire network. Councils, trade associations, franchises and regional bodies. That's Mother Panel: the entity publishes from the top; each affiliate still runs bookings, menu, Live and daily ops; citizens see pins, group events, a Group tab and replicated content in search. Behind it, a Super Admin creates Mother Panels, sets affiliate and event limits, shares credentials, pauses or deletes by contract and negotiation.
What they wanted
Give an entity (association, council, franchise, chamber, regional body or business group) its own panel to coordinate dozens of Buhonea businesses — and let the platform operator create and control those Mother Panels from a professional admin.
The challenge
Stop scattering PDFs and WhatsApps for every fair or campaign. Publish once and reach map, profiles and followers' phones. Create, invite, pause affiliates. Measure event interest. And an admin that creates Mother Panels, limits profiles and monthly posts, shares credentials and activates, pauses or deletes by signed agreement.
Our solution
Mother Panel as a separate Buhonea role: own menu, automatic fan-out on publish, search replicas with map deduplication. Affiliates keep autonomy; group content arrives read-only; followers get push. On top, Super Admin governs creation and permissions for each Mother Panel: limits, invites, active state, pause or delete.
How it’s built
Four layers: entity command centre, affiliate network, events/posts engine… and the admin that creates and controls Mother Panels.
Mother Panel — group command centre
The association, council or franchise panel — not a single bar's. Group profile, branding, affiliate and event limits, network pulse. One contract for the entity; dozens of businesses visible, premium included when the entity creates them.
Affiliates — create, invite, pause
Create a new business or invite one already on Buhonea. Active, pending and paused states; share credentials via WhatsApp; track profile completion. Pausing is control. On unlink, the previous plan returns. Retention pitch: “affiliate and you're on the map and in campaigns”.
Events and posts — fan-out to search
Fairs, markets, open days or Buhoneando announcements. On publish, optional alert to members. Server replicas per affiliate; canonical event once on the map. Search: event pins, Events filter, Group tab, Mother Panel badge. Push chain: entity → affiliates → followers. One action, multiplied reach.
Super Admin — create and control Mother Panels
Whoever runs Buhonea doesn't leave Mother Panels unmanaged. Super Admin creates associations, councils and franchises: active status, first login, profile completed, affiliate count. Sets profile and monthly event/post limits by contract. Saves limits, shares credentials, lists affiliates, pauses or deletes the Mother Panel when the deal requires it. Without this, Mother Panel is a demo; with it, it's a service operable at scale.

Tech stack
Same modern base as Buhonea: React + Vite, Firebase, Node fan-out, FCM, Google Maps, PWA. Super Admin closes the loop: creation, permissions and ops control of each Mother Panel.

Result
An entity digitises local commerce without a custom build. Behind it, a professional admin creates and governs each Mother Panel by contract. Neighbourhood infrastructure with serious operations.
